Focused Counsel is designed for discrete matters with a defined objective and may be offered at an hourly rate or a flat fee.

Business Counsel is designed for clients navigating business formations, transactions, restructurings, or other matters involving multiple decisions and deliverables. These engagements are generally billed hourly, allowing the scope of the work to evolve alongside the needs of the client.
Best suited for: startups, established businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs undertaking defined but multifaceted legal projects.

Growing businesses often reach a point where legal questions arise regularly, but hiring full-time in-house counsel does not make financial sense.
Outside General Counsel provides ongoing access to a lawyer who understands your business, its priorities, and the legal issues that develop as it grows. Clients engage the firm for a minimum three-month period and receive regular legal support, direct attorney communication, and monthly meetings focused on current deliverables and emerging business needs.
These engagements are offered on a client-by-client basis for an agreed monthly fee, providing businesses with a more predictable alternative to addressing every legal need through a separate hourly engagement.

Our Team
Isaac Ridgeway is a Raleigh, North Carolina native with experience advising a variety of small businesses and corporate startups.
Prior to founding Ridgeway Law, Isaac practiced at boutique law firms focused on venture capital financing, corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and civil litigation. Along the way, he benefited from the mentorship of experienced attorneys who encouraged him to develop his own client relationships and ultimately build an independent practice.
Isaac previously served as an Associate Raleigh City Attorney, where he represented the Mayor, City Council, and departments across the City of Raleigh. His work and research have also addressed public-policy issues involving public education, data privacy, judicial independence, criminal justice, and the evolving relationship between technology, government, and individual rights.
Isaac currently serves as a founding board member and Treasurer of Opt-Inspire, Inc., a national nonprofit focused on preventing elder fraud and scams and promoting digital literacy in the age of artificial intelligence. He has also served on committees of the North Carolina Bar Association and was selected to represent its Young Lawyers Division at an American Bar Association Annual Meeting.
Isaac and his fiancée, Megan, live near Lake Johnson with their two dogs, Donnie and Luna. Outside the office, he enjoys playing soccer, traveling, hiking, and learning new songs on the piano.
